Indonesia’s Vice Minister of Industry Visits Tenova Headquarters

At the beginning of December, Tenova welcomed Indonesia’s vice minister of industry, Faisol Riza, to the company’s headquarters in Castellanza, Italy.
The visit was organised following an initiative by PT Tata Metal Lestari (TML), which invited government representatives to learn more about Tenova’s capabilities as a machinery partner for its advanced coated-steel projects.
Roberto Pancaldi, Tenova CEO, said: “Tenova has developed key technologies to enable the green transition of the steel industry - from hydrogen utilisation and low-emission furnaces to advanced heat-recovery systems.
“These solutions are already proven in major steel plants worldwide and are ready to support Indonesia’s decarbonisation journey.”
During the meetings, Vice Minister Riza highlighted the role of technology partners in supporting Indonesia’s industrial modernisation projects.
He also emphasised the Ministry of Industry’s commitment to advancing energy efficiency and innovation in the steel industry.
The visit concluded with a tour of the company’s production and testing facilities, followed by technical discussions on hydrogen reduction, as well as bilateral sessions between the Indonesian delegation and Tenova experts.
