Danieli to Upgrade GYS Water-treatment Plant
Garuda Yamato Steel (GYS) has selected Danieli to modernise the water-treatment plant serving its steel production facilities in Indonesia.
The new system will serve as the plant's primary cooling infrastructure, supporting core production processes and ensuring reliable water management.
Danieli highlighted that the system has been engineered for installation in a brownfield environment, as the design allows integration within the existing plant footprint while minimising modifications to the current infrastructure.
The solution also maximises the reuse of existing infrastructure, including structural supports for piping, electrical and cable-routing systems, and overhead cranes that will be used for future operation and maintenance activities.
Danieli will provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering and execution through commissioning and final acceptance of the system.
